The Poongsan Corporation’s primary mission is to make South Korea fully self-reliant for their ammunition needs. Taking advantage of their high standards required through the military’s reliance on their ammunition, their excess capacity is highly sought after throughout the world’s commercial markets. In the United States, their reliable range ammo has become a standard for excellence and consistency.

300 Winchester Magnum – 150 Grain SPBT – PMC Precision – 200 Rounds

A PMC cartridge loaded with a Hornady bullet? Right away, you know that the “Precision” moniker is well-warranted. This 300 Winchester Magnum cartridge features Hornady’s 150 grain InterLock projectile, with the signature ring embedded in its core that anchors it tightly to its jacket for superior weight retention. The InterLock’s jacket is contoured to improve its ballistic coefficient as well as control expansion at any velocity; Its core is exposed at the tip to initiate said expansion, and is comprised of one single piece of lead so that it can better retain mass as it does its magic inside the target.

PMC crafts their ammunition according to precise tolerances, and they inspect their products inside and out to ascertain their high quality. PMC constitutes a large part of South Korea’s efforts to ensure that they’re self-reliant for all their ammunition needs. They therefore make all of their components in-house from high-grade raw materials, including reloadable brass casings and non-corrosive Boxer primers.

5.56x45MM – 62 Grain FMJ – M855 – GREENTIP XTAC – PMC – 600 Rounds in Battle Pack (41.7¢ per round)

Manufactured by the same company that supplies the South Korean military with 5.56 NATO ammo, these PMC X-TAC cartridges follow the M855 “ball” standard. The 62 grain full metal jacket bullet sports a distinctive steel ‘green tip’ and leaves the muzzle at around 3,100 feet per second, typical for M855 rounds.

This 600-round case is perfect for high volume AR-15 shooters, although these rounds may work in .223 Remington firearms depending on the model (check with the manufacturer if unsure). The makers of this ammo, Poongsan, produce all of their own components and control the entire supply chain for maximum quality assurance. All PMC ammo uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases.

M855 ball ammunition is similar to that currently in use by the US military and American allies around the world. Despite its steel-tip and ‘penetrator’ nickname, it has a lead core and is safe to use for most target and sporting applications. Due to its high penetration and non-expanding nature, it is not suitable for civilian self-defense purposes.
