5.56×45 – 62 Grain FMJBT – Prvi Partizan M855 – 1000 Rounds (32.5¢ per round)

Perfect for use with your AR-15 on the range or when plinking, this 5.56x45mm full metal jacket boat tail (FMJBT) ammunition is manufactured by Prvi Partizan and available at an incredible value in this 1000-round bulk case. The 62-grain FMJBT projectile has a narrow boat tail design intended to improve the accuracy of your shot, while the full metal jacket lessens the buildup of lead deposits in your barrel’s rifling over time; ideal for the dedicated shooter who spends all day at the range. The Boxer-primed brass casings are heat-treated near the neck for reloaders who aim to get the most value out of each cartridge.

Prvi Partizan is located in Uzice, Serbia, and they have been selling their ammunition worldwide to various military and police organizations, including their own, since 1928. They manufacture this 5.56mm ammo according to NATO M855 military specifications which call for harder primers, moisture-resistant primer sealant, and lightly penetrating “green tip” SS109 projectiles. A muzzle velocity and energy of 3050 FPS and 1281 ft/lbs ensures performance that is consistent with common practice ammo.

Make sure to verify your rifle is chambered for 5.56x45mm ammunition before shooting. Rifles chambered for .223 Winchester ammunition are not suitable for the more powerful 5.56x45mm, and you should verify with the manufacturer of your weapon if you have additional questions.

5.56×45 – 55 gr FMJBT M193 – Prvi Partizan – 1000 Round Ammo Can (34.5¢ per round)

This is an awesome product from Prvi Partizan. This military grade ammo can as packed full of 1000 rounds of PPU 5.56x45mm ammo. The 55 grain full metal jacket boat-tail ammo in non-corrosive brass cases matches the NATO spec for M193 ammunition. M193 ammo is used by NATO military units for training purposes and does not contain the ‘steel penetrator’ component of the bullet’s relative the M855. The M193 round was the first to be adopted by NATO troops for the AR-15 platform and is closely based on the 55 grain FMJ-BT version of the .223 Remington cartridge. The M193 was chosen by NATO over the 7.62x51mm NATO as it produces far less recoil for the modern lightweight service rifles they began to use in the mid 20th century. The success of the 5.56x45mm cartridge has been immense, and the ammunition and firearms industry has not developed a cartridge to unseat it as the most practical and popular rifle cartridge since that time.

Prvi Partizan ammo is made in Serbia and its name is derived from the Yugoslav Partisans who led the resistance against the Axis in then German-occupied Yugoslavia. The Partisans, the Soviet Red Army, and the Bulgarian People’s Army rallied together to force the German Wehrmacht to cede control and retreat from Belgrade, which was then the capital of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The Prvi Partizan fabrika was the name of the Resistance’s ammunition works, and the name was retained when the operations moved to Uzice, where PPU operates today.

5.56×45 – 62 Grain M855 FMJ-BT – Prvi Partizan Ammo Can – 1000 Rounds (35.0¢ per round)

These military-grade loads are perfect for range work and practice days with your AR-15 or any other rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. Prvi Partizan packages this ammunition in a steel ammo can which features a closing latch, a foldable carry handle, and reinforced molding which facilitates vertical stacking in storage. The lid of the can is lined with a compressible rubber gasket which protects the contents from moisture and dust. Each cartridge inside follows the M855 standard and is made with a non-corrosive Boxer primer fitted to a reloadable brass casing which has been heat-treated for strength. The case is crimped to a 62-grain SS109 projectile that is made with a full metal jacket boat-tail (FMJ-BT) profile.

As an M855 load, the FMJ-BTs features penetrating tips made from mild steel that shouldn’t be fired indoors or against steel targets (that you intend to keep). This particular cartridge profile is currently the most common choice for U.S. military forces and has a ton of support by way of ballistics apps, drop compensation tables, and easy-to-range scope reticles. Prvi Partizan was founded in 1928 and manufactures ammunition for both Serbia and its allies. Their commercial ammo is recognized for fair prices, consistent quality, and obscure calibers that can’t be found elsewhere.

223 Rem – 75 Grain HPBT Match – Prvi Partizan – 1000 Rounds (46.0¢ per round)

Whether you’re in the heat of competition or simply perpetually pushing your limits as a shooter, you deserve a cartridge that will (A) totally reflect your skill with a rifle, and (B) not cost you an arm and a leg. This 223 Rem ammo by Prvi Partizan satisfies those criteria to a perfect T, which is why we proudly offer it by the case.

This round features a 75 grain projectile, very beefy for its caliber and as the result better able to shrug off crosswinds. The bullet’s expertly angled boat tail further immunizes it from straying gusts, and does an excellent job of flattening its trajectory hundreds of yards out as well. Each of these 1,000 rounds’ bullets further sport incredibly uniform hollow points, which are intended to standardize their flight characteristics rather than make them deadlier during penetration. While this is a match round, however, you’ll find it wants little as a solution for varmint detail.

This round’s casing, primer, and propellant are all indicative of just how adept its manufacturer is at making fine ammunition. Shooters in the know often advance Prvi Partizan as one of their absolute favorite brands, and they are as far from misguided as it’s possible to be.
